½ cups sugar
2
tsp. Cinnamon
1
cup cornstarch
¼
tsp. Nutmeg
1
tsp. Salt
3
tbsp. Lemon juice
5-6
lbs. Sliced apples
Add
first five ingredients to pan. Stir in 10 cups of water. Cook and
stir until thick and bubbly. Add lemon juice. Fill 7 quart jars 1/3
full with sauce. Pack apples into jars. Leave 1” headroom.
Process 30 minutes in a boiling water bath canner.
